- Each class lasts 1 ½ hours
- Each class consists of a dance warm-up, a vocal warm-up and fun drama games to encourage students to relax, concentrate and integrate with class mates. The rest of class time is spent learning and rehearsing songs and dances from popular musicals in preparation for an end of term show.
- The emphasis is on fun and enjoyment whilst learning exciting and rewarding new skills.
- Good vocal and dance technique is encouraged and taught. This is essential in the education of any young performer.
At least once a year visiting artists are brought in to give workshops on varied subjects such as pop singing, commercial dancing and musical theatre. theatremonkeys are lucky to have professional links to West End shows and the pop industry.
- Parents can keep in touch with their child’s progress by coming to watch end of term shows and via reports from the teaching staff. The principal is always on hand to discuss any queries regarding your child’s progress.
- Fun 1 hour long theatre classes for 4 – 6 year olds
- Each class consists of a fun dance warm-up (to improve coordination and fitness), a vocal warm-up (to improve speech and vocabulary) and fun drama games (to improve confidence and to encourage children to interact with each other). An interactive story is also an integral part of each class. The rest of class time is spent learning and rehearsing songs and dances in preparation for a relaxed end of term show.
- The emphasis is on fun and enjoyment whilst learning exciting and rewarding new skills. You will no doubt notice a change in your childs level of concentration within no time. Terms are themed to add focus and fun. Past themes include 'Under The Sea', 'A Bug's Life', and A Pirate's Life For Me'

Each child is given a reward chart at the start of term. Each lesson, good work and behaviour is rewarded with a sticker which can be added to their chart.
- Class sizes are small so children are given high levels of personal attention.

L.A.M.D.A. Musical Theatre Examinations
theatremonkeys offers the chance for students to enter for London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts exams in Musical Theatre. This is a great way for your child to gain recognised grades and even accumulate UCAS points for university entry. These exams can be entered as a solo, duo or as a group. Please note that there will be additional fees for examination entry.
