What They Say...
"My daughter so enjoys being a part of theatremonkeys, and my husband and I agree that it by far the best after school activity she has done with the emphasis on confidence building and fun." Mrs Dove, Haslemere.
Exciting hour long theatre classes for 4 – 6 year olds. The emphasis is on fun and enjoyment whilst learning rewarding new skills and gaining confidence and self-esteem.
Class sizes are small so children are given high levels of personal attention. Great for budding little performers as well as less confident children.
A typical cheekymonkeys class includes:
A fun dance warm-up (to improve coordination and fitness) A vocal warm-up (to improve speech and vocabulary) Drama games (to improve confidence and to encourage children to interact with each other). An interactive story with colourful puppet characters. Choreographed dance routines. Basic vocal tuition and learning of songs.
Each term is themed to add focus and fun. Themes include 'Under The Sea', 'A Bug's Life', A Pirate's Life For Me', ‘Fairytale Castle’ and ‘Outer Space Adventure’. Each child is given a themed reward chart at the start of term. A sticker is given for good work and behaviour at the end of each class and the chart is presented to the child at the end of each term.
Parents can keep in touch with their child’s progress by coming to watch end of term shows and open classes and via verbal reports from the teaching staff. The principal is always on hand to discuss any queries regarding your child’s progress.
